International sustainability expert and founder of Learn2improve your planet. Since January 2019 Hans has been deeply involved in ISO/TC 323 Circular Economy, developing the eight standards of the ISO 59000 family. He was Convenor for the development of ISO 59020, Measuring and assessing circularity, and is now Project Leader for its revision. Since 2024 he has delivered ISO training programmes across 13 Asian countries for ISO Geneva, and since 2026 he and Anne Rademaker have been building a network of ISO 59000 training partners throughout Europe.

ISO 59000 is a global reference, broader than EU-only legislation. For European clients we tie the standards to the directives that already apply, including the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), the Digital Product Passport, the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and the proposed Circular Economy Act, and we align the work with the WBCSD Circular Transition Indicators and the Global Circularity Protocol.
